Ο converter ST739 υποστηρίζει την μετατροπή πολυμέσων από 10GBase-TX σε οπτικές ίνες τύπου 10GBASE-FX. Σχεδιασμένο με βάση τα πρότυπα IEEE 802.3i, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x, το ST739 έχει σχεδιαστεί για χρήση με single-mode καλώδιο οπτικών ινών.
